What is MIDI Hardware Control?

This technology allows ANY MIDI device to operate OtsAV TV Broadcaster. You can now start and stop your video files, increase or decrease pitch/tempo using a MIDI capable device. This means you no longer need to remember lots of keyboard shortcuts, and allows for much quicker video manipulation.

Which controllers can be used with OtsAV TV Broadcaster?

Any device that has MIDI capabilities can be used with OtsAV TV Broadcaster. If your mixing panel has MIDI capabilties, you can allocate your panel's buttons and sliders to functions within OtsAV.

Most MIDI hardware offers 2-way MIDI communication, which allows OtsAV to control the displays and LEDs on these devices. These are the recommended type of devices to use. Devices that only offer 1-way MIDI communication can also be used to control OtsAV TV Broadcaster, however the lights and LEDs on these devices cannot be MIDI controlled.

Video block per deck and Video Master deck select
Visual notification of deck states (e.g. Playing, Cued, Time remaining/elapsed display)
Navigate Playlist, Work, and History list areas.
Load video to Deck control
Fine adjustments on Pitch/Tempo/Direction sliders
Instant response on all controls
All buttons, faders, and jog wheels can be assigned to different functions within OtsAV
